About Foundation

The International Talysh Foundation (abbreviated name ITF) was established in 2023 by Talysh public figures living in Europe to provide social, financial and material support to the people of the Talysh nation through projects in various areas of public life. The Foundation was registered in Stockholm (Sweden) on 09 May under the name "Talysh International Foundation Insamlingsstiftelse" and in Vilnius (Lithuania) on 31 January 2024 under the name "Tarptautinis talyšų paramos fondas”.

The International Talysh Foundation initiates and supports a wide range of cultural, research, educational, social, political, environmental and infrastructural projects aimed at preserving, researching, promoting and developing the historical and cultural heritage of the Talysh people and their language, the sustainable socio-political, economic and environmental development of Talyshistan, and the creation and dissemination of media related to the Talysh people. The Foundation also initiates and supports projects to protect the rights of the Talysh people and their representatives throughout the world in strict compliance with international law. In pursuit of these objectives, the Foundation encourages and supports natural and legal persons by financing their activities aimed at the comprehensive development of the Talysh.
The International Talysh Foundation promotes and supports intercultural dialogue between the Talysh and other peoples of the world and the region, projects that raise awareness of the Talysh, their culture, language and history among the global community, and seeks to integrate the Talysh into the international cultural, scientific and socio-political spheres, and is ready to engage with partners around the world. All joint tenders are based on equivalent bilateral experience and are comparable in terms of financial participation of the countries.
The Foundation's resources and budget come from voluntary contributions, donations and gifts, including bequests, and other income. All funds received shall be used to finance projects meeting the goals of the International Talysh Foundation.
The work of the Foundation is coordinated by the Board composed of the 3 co-founders of the organization.
